Richard Gintowt wrote, sang, strummed and shined things up real nice. Claire Adams sang after negotiating her way down to four takes. Nate Holt went all Nate Holt on those keys. Jeff Freling graciously guest-shredded until his hands went numb. Lennon Bone played drums on "Moving Out" and was all like "You got Boned." Cameron Hawk played drums on "Where Does the Story Go?" and "Second Shadow" and was all like "Lennon who?" Corey Vitt quit the band but was held hostage until he recorded tracks one and three. Kyle Akers scaled back the funkiness considerably when he played bass on track two. Wayne Hutcherson atoned for his shit performance on "The X Factor" by finding the high harmony on the chorus of "Moving Out." Leslie Waggoner bewped all up in that chorus too after being inspired by Kansas City's magical fountains. Paul Malinowski tracked drums and bass at Massive Sound Studios and smartly passed on Big Bams. Joel Nanos mixed it at Element Studios on a steady diet of Franks. Doug Van Sloan mastered it at Focus Mastering Omaha and spent his dough at a Stormchasers game. Patrick Giroux designed eight versions of the cover before we finally stopped being total fucking divas and picked one.
