Richard Gintowt wrote, produced, engineered, sang, strummed, and fussed over the damn thing. Michelle Gaumé Sanders sang, played glockenspiel, and made popcorn. Nate Holt played keys and ducked out early. Brett Resnick played lead guitar and pedal steel and did Michael McDonald impressions. Tim Brandsted ate Record Bar pizza and played bass on 4, 10, 11, and 12. Alan Brandsted wore jellies and played bass on 1, 3, 5, and 7. Erik Voeks played the bass parts that Alan Brandsted wrote for 2 and 6 through a better amp. Nate Harold played bass on 8 and 9 while TiVoing “Lost.” Pat Tomek played drums on 10, 11, and 12 and engineered vocals and acoustic guitar with the assistance of eight to ten cats. Josh Adams played drums on 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 without visibly moving his arms. Billy Brimblecom played drums on 8 and 9 in single takes. Tom Clowes played cello on 9, 11, and 12 while trying to not breathe so loud. Hannah Jensen played viola on 9 while reeking of Indian food. Mike Walker played trombone on 11 because we told him we were a first-wave ska band. Dave Gaumé tried out four microphones before laying down some saxophone on 11. Ed Rose tracked drums on 10, 11, and 12 while nomming on Mexichinese. Paul Malinowski tracked drums and bass on 8 and 9 with some mics he pulled out of his beard. Jerett Fulton tracked drums and guitars on 4 and blasted GBV records. Mike Nolte talked like a redneck while tracking drums, bass, and acoustic guitar for 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7. Mike Giffin mixed it all in a tiny nook next to his kitchen. Doug Van Sloun sprinkled his magical mastering dust at Focus Mastering.
